What's new

mangroves

- Regenerated an area of 1490 ha with mangroves through community based approach under public-private partnership (PPP) model.

- Mangrove plantations were raised in an area of 450 ha under state funding, with active participation of local communities.

- Village ponds created in the water-parched Banni area in Kachchh where about 70000 cu.mt. of water is stored during current monsoon.

- Completed preparation of Report on “Development of Wetland area Nani Kakrad, dist. Navsari.

- Submitted project proposal for preparation of ISWAR for the proposed Dedicated Freight Corridor to DFC corporation
